computers/fuses go boom

Post by Shannon » Wed Feb 07, 2007 4:53 pm

Last night a guy came up to me and said smoke came out of the computer area (he couldn't confirm that it came from the computer) and then there was a pop, and then everything shut off. There was also a dodgy looking space heater (?!) plugged in the same area.

Gandalf took a look today and there's no electricity in the power points in the gallery or the front room.

For now, no puters, and no Bill's video...

I can't really investigate this till Saturday or maybe even Sunday. Who plugged in a space heater and where is it now? Anyway, we need to figure out what, if anything, blew, what damage it caused, and what is still safe to use. Until then, I guess they have to be left off.
I've had it with you. If I had an image of a laser gun I would absolutely position it right here in my hand...
Ha! I have a real laser absolutely positioned in my hand!

a fuse will have gone somewhere...i'll probably fix it soon

probably best if infoseed dont use the heaters anymore...

is it known where the smoke was coming from?
Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

it wasn't infoseed, it was the computers in the cafe.

I don't know where the heater came from, but it was on upstairs. Maybe someone found it in the freeshop? I think Gandalf has it now.

I would ban plug in electric heaters and perhaps have a stock of old dressing gowns for people to put on. That's what I do at home to save on heating and it works great.

A little spartan perhaps, but that's reality now.
I love the bomb.
