we're into the baby-tape combo. Maybe the baby with a scribbled out mixtape on its t-shirt. And the back of the baby on the back.
>>>>Submissions
little lamp records
dan says i'm not going to fucking sit and fucking listen to fucking myspace. So we'll get a cd from bill.
pollen – submitted the ambient tracks for the 7inch, dan has got a cd off them. We've now got it on i-tunes, everyone burn off cds. More music at http://www.pollen-music.org.uk
Everyone will listen to the cd and see if we want to release it. We will discus it on the bb.
We'd like to do compilation, possibly using some tracks from the ultra-rare copsed cd, + new stuff. We would like an easter no 1 this year. We will solicit tracks from people we think are good. People who play at forest only. It will be called 'sounds of the forest' and there will be a whale on the front. And when you play it backwards it will have whale noises.
We need to set up a forestrecords@theforest.org.uk
jane will ask duncan to set that up
by post
everyone will tell people we like
we need to make a contract saying how the rights work. Everything issued on FR remains property of the artist etc.
dan will think about drawing up contracts
>>>>vinyl update
dan has an email from keith.
We need to send a studio master, confirming which tracks for A and B sides.
We will decide on the bb which tracks for which sides
we need a catalogue number that has been cleared with (MCPS), artist and title.
Dan will call MCPS – their number is 020 7580 5544
>>>>grooooove
we need to give the vinyl a name too.
But more important – what says the groove???
one foot in the groove/close to the groove
as gay as cheese
lock down your area
if you can read this, you're too close to the groove, play the record again
they say the groove's a fine and quiet place
but none i think do there embrace
deadline = one week today. Friday. Think about it.
>>>>launch party
dan will find out when it will be ready by
we could start making covers as soon as. We'll talk to magda about getting on it. Maybe we can make a stencil of magda's picture.
We're going to book a seat on Branson's ship for our first record.
We'll have one. All the bands will play. By weblink if necessary.
>>>>promotion of FR
let's do some. We'll start some threads on the bb about distros.

Chris: I shake your hand.
Yep, back of baby on the back is good. I can put a little tape on the t-shirt. Or, the baby could be holding a cassette from which, in a symbolic gesture, it has pulled out the tape, creating a mess. The baby believes in vinyl.
When is my deadline?
myspaz mice pace
i hate myspace.....my "friends" made me do it
Re: myspaz mice pace
this is not a valid excuse. What if your 'friends' we the Gestapo? Maybe they are....bill wrote:i hate myspace.....my "friends" made me do it
Anyway - do we now have a multi-burner Cd thing of dreams?
Do we now have a CD printer?
I can tell you one thing we don't have- a mini-bus. It's sold sold sold.
Our big brother's got no heart,
when I get my chance I'm going to punch him in the nose, in the nose, in the nose

CD printer has been bought.
This should not stay out. If you use it put it back in the box and put it away when you've finished. Otherwise it won't last a week.
Also this is for Forest Records only. Not for publishing, promotion or anything else. HANDS OFF DIRTY HANDS!
Please use to print labels onto CDs and to print covers of CDs. Careful with using the colour ink - don't waste it cos it be expensive!

the more you think, the more you stink
I'll try to get it ready by the 16th. Here's a title suggestion in line with the design: "Forest Babies (#1)" or "Hot Forest Babies (#1)". How's that?
I would also like to put some text on the cover, like around the baby. Just kind of describing what the record is. It would be decorative as well as informative. Does anyone want to write something or should I do it myself?

i think we should write something as a collective. any start ideas?
also i don't think we should write too much on front,
and then put some more on back about forest and the idea etc.
and then put even more on a little free sheet which could be stuck inside the record sleeve for people to discover at their leisure
