We forgot to talk about the laundry at the meeting!

Any thoughts?

Is Jamie not doing anymore?

I suppose it would be good to have a system. Am I imagining that we have a washing machine in the office? If we do, does it work? If it does, could we be organised enough to do it ourselves? Once a week on Sundays or something?

Or was the plan to get it done outside the Forest?

I'm never sure what the cafe has exactly that needs laundering. There are some aprons, and some tea towels that never get used but seem to not be clean either. Can't people bring their own aprons? Then we might not need any laundry.

Maybe we should have a laundry rota with a prize for whoever does it.

I find it hard enough keeping up with my own washing sometimes. Mostimes.

we should buy a washing machine. can anyone hunt a decent one on freecycle / ebay and make a buy. obviously we want one that does not use too much energy --- and it would need a dryer ----

but we could even let vollies use it durring shifts etc for a small fee or what not? maybe? forest free launderette anyone?

Jamie is no longer with us, and neither are half our teatowels/aprons.

The tea towels do get used, and they're great to have around when laundered regularly.

Greg did the laundry last week and I think Trish offered to do it this time...maybe it was someone else? It might be a good job for people who can't come in for a whole shift, but would like to help...

Needs dryer. we can not rely on people remembering to hang them up. also often the weather is not good. a washing machine full of roten stuff is not nice, especially tea towels that were full of stinky food.

Newington Bandit is offering to do the laundry chez nous. Will this be a once a week type thing? What is the arrangement? Dirty stuff gets put in a bin under the vegetable washing sink, and clean stuff is in a bin bag near the till?

Aye, that's the way it works.

Many grats to Newington Bandit. I'm so glad we're so hygienic!

So... are we OK for laundry this week? Or should I pick up dirty stuff tomorrow?
