Ragland is an island of musical adventures, where musical adventurist and Crusoe-style castaway Gareth Warner has found himself shipwrecked, with only a guitar and some coconuts for company...
 Ragland has been playing guitar for about 10 years and has written numerous songs throughout that time.
Very occasionally he has been known to play on a stage around Edinburgh, and has played at the Forest a few times, including a couple of appearances at the Golden Hour.
Ragland is a Forest Records artist, meaning he is part of the Forest Café’s musical collective. The debut CD was recorded at the Forest’s music studio, the Cave , in Spring 2006 and released in June 2006. It is called “Volume One: Welcome To Ragland”. Other Volumes are planned. These will probably be titled Volume Two, Volume Three and Volume Four, unless other numbers are discovered or invented in the meantime.
Volume One consists of ten songs, which could easily be described as acoustic folk-pop with a hopeful dollop of gloom thrown in for good measure. You can give the album a listen on the music player.
Ragland has also been dabbling in electronic and ambient music for a few years.
The first project has just been released and is entitled "See:Xons".
